Educational excellence. Financial stability & sustainability. Community. These are VTT’s core values – and measured against them, our school has never been stronger. But despite its success, we must act now to secure a strong future for VTT, and our community.
Over the past eight years, VTT has revitalized itself from the inside out. The quality of our programming and educational outcomes is vastly improved. Enrollment is up by 22%, including an increase of 55% over this period in our thriving Early Years program. We have delivered six consecutive years of balanced budgets, and throughout we have continued to meet the diverse and demanding needs of our community.
Now we have to rebuild our school from the outside in, by increasing capacity to accommodate our growing student population and refitting our antiquated facilities to stay competitive and meet the demands of 21st century education.
This campaign is not about a building. It is about a school, our children and the long-term health and vitality of the Greater Vancouver Jewish community.
The question is how best to achieve these goals while minimizing disruption to our current students and meeting VTT’s programming needs in a responsible and cost-effective manner.
An enormous amount of work has gone into answering those questions, and doing the groundwork with the City of Vancouver and our friends at Congregation Beth Israel necessary for us to proceed.
We hope you find this website a helpful source of information about VTT’s challenges and opportunities.
Please stay tuned for future updates.
